Send us your complete manuscript, both on disc and in hard copy, together with your author's bio and short synopsis of the work.

VERY IMPORTANT: Be sure to include a completed and signed contract.  Select the proper format to print your contract from the list at the left.

Once your manuscript is complete and approved for e-publication by our editors, the disk must be converted into a PDF file. This we can do at a cost of $100.00 for up to 400 pages, $25.00 additional for each 100 pages or part thereof. Or, you can deliver it ready to go, in PDF format. The file will remain stored digitally forever, so your book will never go 'out of print'.

Author is responsible for the Copyright and for Cover Art. Once the book is ready, galleys are available and are highly recommended for proofing before the book goes into its final form.

Books are delivered in two ways:

1. Print-on-demand. This method delivers one or multiple copies of a book in trade paperback, or in hardcover.

2. Via electronic reader (e-book), which is a hand-held device, about the size of a large Palm Pilot which can contain as many as ten books, which are downloaded for a fee and installed in the reader.

Electronic Promotion

All authors who publish with us will be shown how to promote their books via the Internet. This takes time and those with the most time to spend, and the most dedication to the project will be able to sell many, many copies of their books. Remember, the Internet is the greatest selling tool the world has ever known and every one out there is a potential buyer: millions and millions of people.

Production of books is fast and the turn-around time is usually within 48-72 hours after you return the proofs of your book in final form. Your books can be sold and delivered anywhere in the world.

Costs

Each title in the Hutton Electronic Publishing library carries initial one-time set up fees which are detailed below. Also quoted is the net cost per volume, and the author determines the royalty or markup. It is our suggestion that originally you quote a low markup, then, as you become more popular as an author, gradually increase your profit margin. You want to build up a following of readers for your work. What better way than getting them to like your books at a reasonable cost, then raising that cost gradually as more of your books are published?

Set Up Fees

We have just two base setup fees; one for Trade Publications and one for Hardcover Publications.  Maximum number of pages is 500; any overage (up to a maximum of 740 pages) will be charged as below.

Here is what is included:
1.) Scanning cover
2.) ISBN# and a synopsis and category for the book
3.) Listing fee
4.) Proof copy
5.) Listing in Ingram

Author is responsible for providing Hutton Electronic Publishing with the following:
1.) Copy of manuscript on disk in PDF format, or we will do the PDF formatting for you.  See charges for this above.
2.) Hard copy of the cover, or cover graphic on disk.
3.) Full manuscript copy, double spaced.
4.) Copyright (can be obtained via the Internet, search for "U.S. copyright",
     Ex: http://www.copyright.gov/)
5.) Final proofing of the manuscript from galley.

Any revisions, custom pre-media work, etc. is charged out at $100/hr., so make sure your manuscript is in correct form when you submit the original disk.

There is an additional yearly fee of $17.00 for digital storage of your manuscript.

Trade Paperback:
$600.00 for 104 - 500 pages; plus $35.00/one hundred pages, or part thereof, that exceeds 500 pages, up to a maximum of 740 pages.  No book can exceed 740 pages.

Hardcover Edition:
$700.00 for 104 - 500 pages; plus $35.00/one hundred pages, or part thereof, that exceeds 500 pages, up to a maximum of 740 pages.  No book can exceed 740 pages.

Below is provided a payment method for your setup fees.  Please make very sure you are accurate with your figuring, so that your cost is determined properly.

Here are the steps to correctly send us your setup fees and book title to us:

Step 1.) Below select either a paperback or hardcover book.  Click the appropriate cost figured on the number of pages from the drop-down menus. You will be redirected back to the page when you click "Add to Cart" button.

Step 2.) Type the title of your book in the appropriate blank and hit the Add to Cart button.  You will be redirected back to the page when you click Add to Cart button.

Step 3.) Click the View Cart/Checkout to review your order.  If everything is correct proceed with the checkout thru the cart.

Lastly, review your shopping cart to make sure you have selected a book cover, with appropriate charge for pages and that the title of your book appears in the shopping cart description window by clicking this link View Cart/Checkout.  If your order is complete, continue the payment process thru the shopping cart.

Cost of book to readers:
Trade Paperback (104 - 500 pages) = $10.60, plus each additional 100 pages or part thereof cost $3.50.
Hardcover (104 - 500 pages)= $18.05, plus each additional 100 pages or part thereof cost $3.50.

On top of these figures, author determines the markup or royalty and adds it, thus determining the price of buying the book.  Remember that if your book is sold through a retail outlet, they will expect 10%; you book will be distributed through Ingram and will be for sale at Amazon.com, BN.com etc.  Royalties are split 50-50 from 1 to 4,999 copies; thereafter, author receives 80% and Hutton Electronic Publishing receives 20%.

If you would like to have your book featured and sold on our web site, we have a deal for you!  For a one-time charge of $75.00 we will design a web page with a graphic of your cover, and a synopsis and category for the book, as well as a method of purchasing the book through our shopping cart.  Your book will be added to the list of other authors featured on our web site.  Please review book pricing described above before pricing your book.

Here is how it works:  we already have your scanned front cover, just supply us with title, ISBN number and a synopsis along with the retail price of the book.  This can be accomplished by sending the information via email after signing up thru the cart link below.  Allow 2 - 4 weeks for your page to appear on our site.

Be sure to follow these directions:
1.  Click the Add to Cart button below to purchase a book promotional web page.  After you click the Add to Cart button below you will be redirected back to this page. 

2.  Go to the Book Title Entry box above and enter your title and click the Add to Cart button.  You will be redirected back to this page.  Click the link View Cart/Checkout to review your order, making sure your book title appears in the description window of the cart along with your charge of $75.00.  If your order is complete, simply continue the payment process thru the cart.
